The Corporate Actions Seminar is designed
to give attendees an in-depth knowledge of this often, complex process.
The marketplace for complex instruments and their derivatives has
grown tremendously in the past two decades and this growth has caused
a great increase in unique events that impact investor processing
of information. This seminar will help the attendee gain a thorough
understanding of how not only the events institutions need to be
prepared for, but why they occur when and how they do and the accounting
and systems concerns which pertain to all types of corporate actions.
The Corporate Actions Seminar provides
participants with a sound foundation in all aspects of U.S. corporate
actions processing. Industry standards, regulatory requirements,
and the time-critical environment will be emphasized. Case illustrations
of current deals and trends will be examined to prepare the participant
to handle a transaction from the inception of the Initial Offering
Circular, through payments and distributions to clients. Upon completing
this seminar, participants will be able to recognize potential breakdowns
in a corporate action process flow, and develop controls and procedures
that can improve the overall work flow while limiting exposure.
Principles of corporate actions processing and today's standard
industry practices will be examined to ensure an understanding of
regulatory and compliance issues, audit check points, capital change
awareness and protection for the firm and client.
The Corporate Actions Seminar is ideal
for anyone who needs to gain a comprehensive knowledge of this critical
and timely topic, such as accountants, auditors, IT professionals
and senior managers. Attendees will gain the critical skills necessary
for the evaluation and management of these holdings.
